About Kristin Sukraw, LMHP

You don’t have to keep carrying this alone.

You may be feeling weighed down by anxiety, overwhelmed by the heartbreak of infertility, or still carrying the pain of past trauma. When life feels heavy and uncertain, it’s easy to wonder if things will ever truly change. You don’t have to face this alone.

I’m Kristin Sukraw, a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner at Kristin Sukraw Counseling in Lincoln, NE. My passion is helping people like you find relief from the struggles that keep you stuck and guiding you toward a life that feels calmer, more grounded, and filled with hope.

While my practice includes helping people navigate many different challenges, I specialize in working with women who experience anxiety. Whether it stems from relationship issues, grief, life transition, infertility and growing your family or financial difficulties I am here for you.

I find my faith has helped me in times of need and if integrating a Christian counseling perspective is of interest to you, we can work that into our time together.

My role is to provide a compassionate space where your story matters, your healing is honored, and your growth is possible. Together, we’ll work to heal and grow.

Kristin Sukraw is a licensed counselor working with women struggling with anxiety, infertility, grief and trauma. She serves clients in person at her office in the Thrive Resources building in South East Lincoln, NE and is available across the state of Nebraska via Telehealth services.

How does healing happen in therapy?

Relationship

Therapy is rooted in a strong, trusting relationship between me and my clients. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. The relationship you have with your therapist is one of the most important parts of the process. You need to feel safe enough to be honest and vulnerable and in return, I promise to honor everything you say and to meet you where you’re at.

Roots

Lasting healing often comes from getting to the root of where our struggles began. When you understand where an anxious thought or painful belief first took shape, it becomes easier to see that it’s not the full truth about who you are. Exploring the origin of these patterns helps loosen their grip, so instead of being controlled by old fears, you can respond with clarity, compassion, and choice in the present.

Skills

While having a safe space to share your story is important, it can feel discouraging if you leave our sessions without knowing how to handle the panic attack that shows up in the middle of the night, or the wave of grief that catches you off guard. Therapy should give you both understanding and tools—so you feel supported not only in session, but also have the techniques to face challenges as they arise in everyday life.
